At today’s Medical Cannabis Working Group Hearing, the committee members heard more testimony from people and parents extolling the medical benefits of cannabis from their own experience and from witnessing the curative benefits on their children and loved ones. The majority of those testifying were pleading with legislators to expand the list of qualifying medical conditions and legal access to cannabis medications. Ted Metz made the suggestion that the committee include recognition of other state’s properly issued medical cannabis permits to such people whom may be in Georgia, citing the reciprocity clause in the US Constitution.
